Andrea Jiménez is a licensed architect from Perú. She studied Architecture in the UPC – Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas UPC where she received her Bachelor Degree.
Andrea lived and studied in NYC, and she holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from the Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation (GSAPP), Columbia University.
Prior to founding her firm, she worked for both national and international architecture studios such as AJN Aterliers Jean Nouvel, as part of an interdisciplinary team designing big scale and mix-use projects.
In 2014 she co-founds her first private practice Studio MD27 (2014-2019). As head of the Design Department, she has lead different scale projects such as: Residential, Housing, Hospitality, Commercial, Offices, Refurbishment and Urbanism.
In 2020 she co-founds her new firm OCTAVO, with Rodrigo Escardó. OCTAVO is an Architecture Led – Design Build firm. Andrea reinforces the importance of understanding design as an on-going transformation, that is explored not only during the concept and design process, but also through the execution on site.

Rodrigo is a licensed architect from Perú. He studied Architecture in the UPC- Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas where he received his Bachelor Degree. He holds a Post-Graduate degree on Real State Development from ESAN University Lima -Perú and was part of the MIT-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Entreprenuership Bootcamp Program.
He has worked as part of the Architecture and Design team of different Architecture firms in the United States where he worked on Residential and Hospitality projects, both in Miami and New York.
Afterwards, Rodrigo comes back to Perú to gain knowledge and work experience in all phases of Construction working on site with GyM SA.
In 2014 he co-founded Studio MD27 (2014-2019) an Architecture Studio in which alongside his partners, he Designed and Managed over a hundred projects. Their work has been nominated and shortlisted on Wallpaper Design Magazine and Restaurants & Bar Design Award, as well as featured in Dezeen, Archdaily, Archello and Architecture Hunter.
In 2020 together with Andrea Jimenez, they founded OCTAVO. Rodrigo brings to the studio both detail oriented construction and cost-efficient knowledge that allow projects to materialize.
